Figuring out the ideal skincare routine for your self can be way more difficult than it sounds, and it can take months, even years to finally find one that works best for you! I have extremely oily skin and used to have terrible hormonal acne in my early teens as well. https://worldgraphics20.com/2020/12/30/best-5-supplements-for-great-hair-skin/
Its taken me a few years, and a lot of trial and error to build myself a skincare routine that has finally left me with clear skin – soI want to share it with you guys so you can give it a try too! My morning routine consists of a cleanser toner and moisturiser with a sunscreen as well.
I start with the Neutrogena deep clean black heade liminating daily scrub It’s very mildly exfoliating and the granules in it are very gentle so I feel comfortable using it everyday as it keeps my excess oil production in check and also prevents black heads. https://worldgraphics20.com/2020/12/30/best-moisturizers-for-oily-skin-regulate-sebum-production-for-good-in-2021/
It leaves my skin feeling fresh but not too tight or dried out. Immediately after cleansing my face I soaka cotton pad in Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner It has 5% glycolic acid which helps dissolvedead skin cells and any left over dirt and oils on my skin after cleansing.
The glycolic acid might slightly sting your skin if you have open acne so make sure to do a patch test first. Even though I have oily skin, this step is super important! I just dab some Belif True Cream Aqua Bomb on my cheeks, nose, chin and fore head and pat it into my skin. https://worldgraphics20.com/2020/12/29/best-moisturizers-for-dry-dehydrated-flaky-skin-in-2021/
This Korean gel based cream is made for oily but dehydrated skin and is ultra light weight. Its fast absorbing formula keeps my skin moisturisedbut not greasy. Since my skin is a little lighter I’m burn really easily and i’m also easily prone to sun damage as well, so sunscreen is key! Once my moisturiser is absorbed I use Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sun block all over my face.
Its mattifying formula isn’t like other sunscreens that usually make me break out and make my skin sticky and also gives me high protection from the sun! My night time routine has a few more products in it because I often want to give my face an extra kick of moisture even though I have oily skin to prevent premature ageing.
I follow up with the same Neutrogena facewash again but 2-3 times a week I also use the Foreo Luna Play Plus exfoliator Its a waterproof, battery powered exfoliator with soft silicone bristles that pulse to clean away excess makeup and dirt and helps improve blood circulation too! I use it with my cleanser for about 1 minute all over my face before rinsing.
Then it’s time for my Pixi toner once againon a cotton pad. I like to use a heavier moisturiser at night to keep my skin extra healthy soI dot on some Cetaphil Moisturising Cream and massage it in.
Even though this is a fairly heavy productits non comedogenic so I don’t have to worry about it clogging my pores while I sleep andit really hydrates my skin too! Since our eyes are the most sensitive part of our face they need some extra love so I use The Body Shops Eyes Cube Its infused with Vitamin E which is a hero ingredient in eliminating dark circles and its stick packaging makes it easy to apply in a few seconds.
It always leaves my eyes feeling cool and relaxed and has them looking fresh in the morning! As the final step of my routine, if I feel any acne starting to come up or have any active pimples I apply a thin layer of Organic RiotsAnti Acne Serum Zap It has neem oil and manuka honey extracts that reduce any acne overnight and its totally natural so I don’t have to worry about chemicals sitting on my skin as I sleep either! I hope you enjoyed hearing about my skincare routine! Until next time, stay tuned and stay Glamrs.
